Virginia Prepaid Tuition Program (VPEP)

• Notify the Virginia Prepaid Tuition Program (VPEP) that your student will attend Christopher Newport University.
• Christopher Newport University will invoice VPEP after the term begins and schedule adjustment period has ended.
• VPEP will then send payment directly to CNU for each student.

• Your CNU billing invoice will show an anticipated amount for VPEP until the funds are actually received.
• CNU will defer the tuition until we receive their payment.
• Remit payment for any difference by the CNU payment deadline.

VPEP pays full in-state tuition and required fees each term. If you are enrolled for community college rates, VPEP will be able to tell you the amount you will receive and you may deduct that amount from your CNU invoice.

• In the Virginia Education Savings Trust (VEST) program, you must authorize VEST in writing to pay the school each semester.
• Contact VEST for special procedures and processing times to request payment.
• CNU cannot defer payment for VEST participants.
