UNDERGRADUATE FULL-TIME RATE = 12-16 CREDIT HOURS
If you register for more than 16 credit hours, you will be charged the full-time rate plus the appropriate per-credit hour rate for each additional hour above the 16 credit hours.

 

Tuition Refund Policy

FALL 2009

  1. 100% REFUND for a course officially dropped by the end of the first week of the academic term or for any course canceled by the University  (Last Day for 100% Refund is August 28, 2009).
  2. 75% REFUND for any course officially dropped during the second week of the academic term  (Last Day for 75% Refund is September 4, 2009).
  3. 50% REFUND for any course officially dropped during the third and fourth week of the academic term (Last Day for 50% Refund is September 18, 2009), after which time there shall be no refund.

Refund Policy: Tuition and Fees

All refunds will be processed in accordance with the above policy.  If there are extenuating circumstances (such as mandatory job transfer from the Hampton Roads area documented by a letter from the employer or extended period of hospitalization documented by a physician's statement), students must submit a Tuition Refund Appeal Form, along with documentation to the Office of Student Accounts, Room 210, Administration Building. Notification of the final decision will be made within two weeks of the date the appeal is filed. All appeals must be filed by the end of the academic term to be considered.  Any appeal filed after the term  has ended will be denied regardless of the circumstances.

Refund Policy: Room and Board
The refund policy for room and board is contained in your housing contract. All inquiries pertaining to refund of room and board should be addressed to the Office of University Housing (757) 594-7756.

Graduate Academic Tuition

There is no graduate full-time rate. Graduate students will pay the hourly rate for all courses taken. The graduate degree seeking application fee is $45.00. The non-degree seeking application fee is $35.00.
